The one-thousand-year Mahamastakabhisheka of Lord Gommateshwara Bahubali Swami, held in 1981 at Srikshetra Shravanabelagola, marked a significant moment in history. During this auspicious event, His Holiness Jagadguru Karmayogi Swastishree Charukeerti Bhattaraka Mahaswamiji envisioned the establishment of a Sangha dedicated to providing quality education to the student community of Shravanabelagola and its surrounding villages. On November 18, 1982, the Shravanabelagola Digambar Jain Jnana Prasaraka Sangha was officially founded under the Karnataka Societies Registration Act 1960. Recognized as Religious Minority Institutions by the Government of Karnataka, the educational institutions under the SSDJJP Sangha have strived since 1982 to impart education with a focus on character-building and humanitarian values. Over the years, the SSDJJP Sangha has established several educational institutions, including Sri Ambika Higher Primary School, Bahubali College of Engineering, and Shri Bahubali School of Nursing, among others. These institutions stand as pillars of knowledge, nurturing generations of students and shaping their futures.
