Mangayi, a royal dancer and disciple of Charukirti Panditacharya, built this Basadi in AD 1353 and named it Tribhuvana Chudamani. Constructed of hard stone, it resembles Odegal Basadi. Elephants flank the entrance, while the navaranga contains massive pillars and the doorway has Hoysala-style guardians. The image of Shantinatha was commissioned by Queen Bhimadevi during the reign of Devaraya II. The Mahavira image was installed by Basatayi in the twelfth century, and the Anantanatha image by Bavachaya of the royal secretariat. Gummatanna of Gerusoppe later restored the Basadi. Last year, Jagadguru Swasti Shri Abhinava Charukirti Panditacharyavarya Mahaswamiji restored the outer courtyard.
